The body of a woman with severe head injuries was discovered behind a service station on Morley Road in the Chaddensden area of Derby, England.
No identification aws found on the woman, believed to be between the ages of 20 and 40. She was white, about 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighed about 11.5 stone. She had collar length brown hair with natural red or fair highlights.
The woman was wearing a light grey polo shirt and black leggings. Both her ears were pierced. She was not wearing earrings.
Police believe she was killed Monday night and are urging anyone with a missing friend or relative fitting the woman's description to come forward. They stress that at the moment the priority is to determine her identity, before any further inquiries into her death can take place.
The police have appealed for witnesses who may have seen anything suspicious in the Chaddesden area between 8:00 pm Monday to 8:00 am Tuesday.
